Privacy

Privacy Policy.

What RadioInternet.ca collects, surface by surface; why; how long it is kept; and how you exercise your rights. In plain language, with no detours. Version v2 — effective October 11, 2026. This is a translation: the French version prevails.

1. Who is in charge

RadioInternet.ca is operated by Lawrence Morel (Québec, Canada). The person in charge of personal information protection — under Québec’s Act 25, the person with the highest authority over the site — is Lawrence Morel himself.

To reach him about your information: the contact form (subject “Privacy and personal information”).

2. What we collect, surface by surface

Browsing and listening (no account)

Reading pages, listening to the 24/7 stream and the clock-run continuous radio needs no account and collects no information about you on our side. Two technical realities worth knowing: the server that streams the audio sees your IP address while you listen — that is how the Internet delivers sound — and our host (GoDaddy) keeps technical logs (IP address, pages requested, date and time) for server security and operation. We only look at those logs when there is a technical or security problem.

When you press play on a song presented with an official player (Suno, YouTube), that platform serves you the sound under its own privacy policy, and it may set its own cookies. We never download or copy those songs.

Creating an account

A username and a password — that is all that is required. Email is optional: if you provide one, it is kept in your account and used for sign-in and password reset; if you don’t, the system generates an internal technical address — with no inbox, never displayed — because WordPress requires a value in that field. Your password is stored hashed: we never see it in clear text. Also kept in your account: the creation date and the version of the terms you accepted, with its date. No card, no postal address, no phone number is asked.

Submitting your song (“Submit Your Song”)

The form collects: your artist name, the song title, the platform, the song URL, your creator profile URL, your email, your ownership declaration (with the unique verification code the system generates) and, if you check it, your declaration that the song is explicit (18+). Why: to verify that the song is really yours (the code, which only the owner of the platform account can place in their description), to have a human listen and decide, to notify you of the decision by email, and — if it is approved — to stream it or feature it as the terms describe. Your email is never published or sold.

Voting in the Chart

The Chart is back as of October 17, 2026: voting is open on the Chart page. Votes already recorded are kept as described below; the anti-repeat cookie already set on your device remains valid until it expires.

A vote is a server-side counter: the song’s total goes up by one. To prevent repeated votes for the same song from the same browser, the server sets a one-year functional cookie and your browser keeps a local display marker. No account is required and the vote is not tied to any identity.

Writing through the contact form

Your name, your email, the subject and your message are sent to us by email so we can process your request — answer you, help you, or handle a request about your information. Nothing else is done with them.

Voice bank and voice clone

The voice bank runs on signed consent, and nothing else: no recording can be submitted, no clone created, without an explicit consent recorded in our consent register (see section 4). The full consent text — data, purposes, withdrawal — is presented before any submission. Until the feature is open to a person, no voice data about them exists with us.

Audience statistics

The site measures its audience with Google Analytics 4 (ID G-GC0DJSX5SD), served by Site Kit by Google: the tool loads only after you accept in the cookie banner — without your yes, no measurement tool runs. The geolocation module prepared in the site is off by default: if it is ever switched on, it will locate listening by country, region and city while discarding the IP address as soon as the measure is taken (ephemeral 48-hour sessions, totals kept 13 months), and this policy will be updated before it is activated. Geographic statistics tied to a creator account fall under a separate consent, in the register.

3. Cookies and trackers

The house rule is simple: profiling trackers never start without your yes. The “Cookies and advertising” banner asks for your choice on your first visit; your two answers — accept or reject — carry the same weight there. You can change your mind at any time through the “Privacy and cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

  • Your choice itself. A first-party cookie (“rint_temoins”) keeps your answer for 6 months, then the banner asks again. It is the cookie that enforces your choice; it tracks nobody.
  • Google advertising (AdSense) — only if you accept. If you say yes, Google’s advertising script is loaded and Google (and its advertising partners) may set cookies to personalize and measure ads, under Google’s policy. If you say no — or say nothing — that script is never loaded and none of those cookies is set by our site.
  • Audience measurement — Google Analytics 4, after consent only. Google Analytics 4 (ID G-GC0DJSX5SD), served by Site Kit by Google, loads only after you accept in the cookie banner: without your yes, no measurement tool runs and no measurement cookie is set.
  • Working cookies. These need no agreement because they make what you asked for work: your session if you are signed in (WordPress cookies), the anti-repeat cookie for Chart votes (one year), and the settings your browser keeps for the player and the tools (volume, listening source, work in progress in the Studio or the Console — that data stays on your device and is not sent to us).

If you withdraw an agreement you had given, trackers will no longer be loaded from your next visit on (reloading the page applies a refusal right away). Cookies Google may already have set in your browser are governed by your browser settings and by Google: this site cannot delete them remotely, and we do not pretend otherwise.

4. The consent register

Some features run on signed consent: the voice clone, an account’s client relationship, a creator account’s geographic statistics, and the cookie choice of signed-in people. Every yes and every withdrawal is recorded in a dated journal: the person, the feature, the version of the text accepted, the date and the origin of the event. That journal is our proof that your decision was honoured.

Withdrawing a consent takes effect immediately in the register: the feature locks, and the feature’s data is destroyed according to the text you had accepted. What always remains: the dated proof of the yes and of the withdrawal — it is never deleted, because without it, nothing would prove the withdrawal happened. Signed-in people manage their consents from their “My Account” page; anyone else uses the contact form.

5. Who your information is shared with

Never sold, never handed over for third-party marketing. The only recipients are the technical providers that run what you use:

  • GoDaddy, which hosts the site (server technical logs);
  • Google, only after you accept advertising cookies (AdSense advertising), under Google’s policy;
  • FastCast4u, whose server streams the 24/7 feed (it sees your IP address while you listen, like any streaming server);
  • the official platforms (Suno, YouTube) when you start one of their songs yourself in their official player.

And, where applicable, an authority when the law requires it. That is all.

6. How long it is kept

  • Account: as long as your account exists. You can ask for its closure and the deletion of its data at any time through the contact form; the proof of your consents stays in the register (section 4).
  • Approved song submission: as long as the song is streamed or featured on the site; the proof of your declaration (your artist name, the code, the version of the accepted text, the date) is kept in the submission file. If you withdraw your submission, streaming stops and the file is deleted no later than 12 months after.
  • Refused or stale submission: deleted no later than 12 months after the decision or the last exchange.
  • Contact message: as long as needed to process your request, then kept at most 24 months.
  • Consent journal: kept with no automatic expiry — it is the proof of consents and withdrawals.
  • Votes: per-song totals are kept (they are public counters); the anti-repeat cookie lives one year in your browser.
  • Voice (if you consent to the voice clone): as long as your consent stands; withdrawal has it deleted, as the consent text describes.

7. Your rights — and how to exercise them

Act 25 gives you the right to know what we hold about you, to access it, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have what no longer needs keeping deleted, to receive your information in a common structured format (portability), and to withdraw a consent at any time. To exercise a right: write through the contact form (subject “Privacy and personal information”). We will process your request within the time the law sets out — 30 days — and tell you what was done.

If a response does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the body that oversees personal information protection in Québec.

8. Security, children, changes

Security: the site is served over HTTPS; passwords are hashed by WordPress; administration access is restricted; and we collect as little information as possible — that is the first protection. Children: the service is aimed at creators and adult listeners; some song titles are labelled “Explicit — 18+”, and the site does not seek to collect children’s information. Changes: this policy is at version v2, effective October 11, 2026. If it changes in any significant way, the new version will be published on this page, with its date, before it applies.

French version (governing): Politique de confidentialité (français). In case of any difference between the two versions, the French version prevails.
