Terms
Terms of Use.
The rules of the game at RadioInternet.ca, stated exactly as they are: free access, the account, submitting your music, your rights and ours. Version v2 — effective October 11, 2026. This is a translation: the French version prevails.
1. The service, as it is
RadioInternet.ca is Lawrence Morel’s “URL to URL” web radio ecosystem: a platform to create, schedule and stream a web radio, a demonstration station that really plays (a 24/7 stream and a clock-run continuous radio), tools (Radio OS Console, Audio Studio, Scratch Lab, Link Analyzer), a song catalogue built on official references, and training. Every feature on the site displays its real state — active, local or beta — and that display is part of the deal: we never present an upcoming feature as if it were live.
By using the site, you accept these terms. If you create an account, you also accept the version of the terms presented at sign-up — the accepted version and its date are kept in your account.
2. The free account
- Creating an account is free and asks only for a username and a password. Email is optional: it is never required or verified at sign-up. No card — credit or debit — is asked.
- The account is permanent: it gives full access to the ecosystem, with no expiry. No account can lapse; the public site — listening, the blog, the pages — requires no account anyway.
- You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. An account is personal; team access is arranged with us, not by sharing a password.
- You can ask for your account to be closed at any time through the contact form. Closure deletes the account data, as the privacy policy describes.
3. Free services
- Every RadioInternet.ca service is offered free of charge — listening, the platform, the tools, training and the account — for everyone, until further notice. Nothing is sold and nothing runs on a limited-time basis: access is complete from day one and stays that way.
- One named exception: the Super Button instant launch — your complete radio set up for you in 10 seconds — is a "done for you" service offered at $599. The same radio can be built for free, step by step, with no feature missing. As of today, no payment can be made or taken on this site: the Super Button payment is not connected yet; there is no charge, no renewal and no automatic conversion here.
- If paid offers are ever launched, they will be announced in advance and these terms will be updated before any first transaction is possible.
4. Ads shown on the site
RadioInternet.ca sells no advertising slots on its site. The only ads that may appear on the pages are Google ads (AdSense), served by Google to visitors who accepted advertising cookies, under Google’s rules; their content is not an endorsement by RadioInternet.ca.
5. Your music: the submission (“Submit Your Song”)
- You declare it is yours. By submitting, you declare that you hold the rights to the song, or are authorized by the rights holder to submit it, and you agree to prove it with the unique verification code: the code must be placed in your song’s description, on your platform — only the account owner can do that. A submission without a verifiable code may be refused.
- A human decides. No song is published or streamed automatically: every approved submission is approved after verification and a listen. We may refuse a submission that does not comply with these terms, without having to justify beyond the reason given to the submitter.
- The licence you grant. For an approved song, you grant RadioInternet.ca a non-exclusive, free and revocable licence: to stream it on the station feed and the continuous radio (for pieces whose file we hold through your platform), to feature it on the site, and to present it with your artist name and its title. For YouTube, featuring happens only through YouTube’s official player: we never download, copy or re-stream a video file. Your song stays yours — this licence transfers no ownership right.
- Withdrawing your submission. You can withdraw your submission at any time through the contact form: streaming and featuring stop once the withdrawal is processed, which ends the licence for the future.
- Your rights, your responsibility. Royalties and licences tied to your works (for example with SOCAN, if your works are registered there) remain your responsibility. If a third party reports a right over a submitted song, we may take it down while we verify.
- Declare explicit content. If your song contains explicit or adult language or themes, check the box provided on the form: it will carry the “Explicit — 18+” label everywhere its title appears. It is a declaration, not a block.
6. Explicit content — the house rule
The catalogue contains titles with raw language or adult themes. The site’s rule, applied everywhere: nothing sexual or adult-only without labelling it. Those titles carry the visible “Explicit — 18+” label everywhere a title is displayed on the site — in the continuous radio, on the stream and on the artist pages — without being hidden. By using the site, you know these labelled titles are part of the public catalogue. No sexual content involving minors is tolerated, in any form; any report about it is treated as a priority.
7. Reporting content (rights holders)
If you are a rights holder — or mandated by one — and you believe content on the site (a submitted song, a text, an image) infringes your rights, write to us through the contact form identifying the content in question, the right at issue and your standing to claim it. We review every report and remove what must be removed; when a report targets a song submitted by a user, we follow the notice regime under Canada’s Copyright Act and inform the submitter. A bad-faith report can engage its author’s liability.
8. The site’s intellectual property
The site’s texts (excluding creators’ content), the “Affiche” series visuals, the code, the structure and the RadioInternet.ca marks belong to Lawrence Morel. The catalogue’s songs remain their creators’ property; their presence on the site means reference and listening through official players, never an assignment. No commercial reproduction of the site’s content is authorized without a written agreement.
9. Conduct
Submit only what is yours or what you are authorized to submit; do not circumvent submission verification, vote limits, or any technical measure of the site; do not disrupt the service or attempt to access other people’s accounts. An account or submission that breaks these rules may be closed or removed, with the reason communicated to the person concerned.
10. Availability and liability
The service is offered as is, with its displayed states. We work to keep it online, but we guarantee neither uninterrupted availability — the streaming feed is hosted by a third-party provider, as a starting solution — nor the total absence of errors in a catalogue of more than 1,500 titles kept up to date continuously. To the extent permitted by the laws of Québec and Canada, our liability is limited to the amounts you actually paid us for the service in question, if any. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law, language, changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada that apply there. They are at version v2, effective October 11, 2026. If they change in any significant way, the new version will be published on this page, with its date, before it applies; for accounts, the version accepted at sign-up is kept as proof of what had been agreed.
French version (governing): Conditions d’utilisation (français). In case of any difference between the two versions, the French version prevails.
