How it works: Listen

What it is

Listen is the page where you come to hear music on RadioInternet.ca. It’s simple: you arrive, you pick a song, you press play, and it plays. No account to create, no fees, no hassle. The page is designed so anyone, even someone who isn’t used to websites, can find their way around in a few seconds.

On this page, songs play one at a time, with the platforms’ official players. When a song ends, you pick another one. You’re the one who decides what you listen to, in the order you want.

How to use it

First step: click “Listen” in the site menu. You arrive on the player page.

Second step: browse the songs offered on the page. You’ll see the titles and the artists.

Third step: pick the song you want to hear and press the play button. The sound starts right away.

Fourth step: when the song is over, pick another one and keep listening. You can stay as long as you want.

On this same page, you’ll also find the “Submit your song” section. If you create songs, that’s where you can submit yours so it can be heard here.

Good to know

The continuous radio now plays across the whole site: the player bar, at the bottom of every page, plays the songs in rotation, and everyone hears the same song at the same moment. Press play, in the bar or right here, and listen. The station’s live broadcast stream, for its part, is on the air: it plays 24/7 on this same page, with its real state read from the stream server — currently playing, listeners, recently played. The music is here, and it really plays.

The Listen page works just as well on a phone as on a computer. You don’t need to install anything or download anything. You open your browser, you go to the site, and you listen. And if you feel like it, share the page with a friend who loves discovering new music. That’s how the catalogue gets known, one listen at a time.
